I miss my kids

Christmas break is great, but I wonder each day what my WRP kids are doing.I can't wait to see their smiling faces.
I am very excited for the students to come back in 2010 and see what they can do!!! This part of the year is very exciting for our First Graders!!

Celebrations

The kinder classes had lots of fun celebrating the holiday season. The classroom parties were quite exciting! Yes kinder students, you do have to return next year to finish the kindergarten school year. There will be lots of fun and exciting activities and learning for the rest of kindergarten in 2010. See you soon, Mrs. Crawford.

Kinder Pajama Party

The kinder classes won the can food drive for the needy and won a pajama and popcorn party. We learned that it feels really good to help out people that are not as fortunate. We have spent the day in our pajamas watching the Polar Express, drinking hot chocolate and eating popcorn. We also spent part of the day making crafts and reading Christmas books. It was a very fun day! Happy Holidays to everyone.

Welcome to Wood River Elementary School Blog

Welcome to our Winning Team Blog! This year we are racing towards continued success! As an Exemplary school we have strived to be at the top academically as we move on as a Professional Learning Community! This year we will start focusing more on integrating technology within our curriculum. Wood River students will not only have exemplary grades but they will acquire technology skills that will give them life skills to be successful citizens as they progress through their education and careers in life!
I would like to challenge and encourage all staff and parents to join in on our blog adding any positive comments about Wood River initiatives, events, student success, etc. Teachers can also share positive statements, celebrations and even ideas for integrating technology.
Have a Happy New Year! As we move into 2010 we look forward to the opportunities teachers and students will have at Wood River! Please join in an post your positive thoughts! Thanks for your time!!!!!
